AN EVENING OF MANY DELIGHTS: TWO FRENCH MELODEON STARS

plus OXFORD BASED COMPANY ‘ M U E ‘ (DANCE/SOUND/LIGHT)

Emmanuel Pariselle and Christian Maes are two first-class performers from the French traditional music scene. They play music from the folk traditions of Brittany and other regions of France, but do not shy away from many other influences. They have a huge following in France, and Emmanuel’s soulful and nostalgic song writing is delightful.

MUE: shedding of skin
The direction we are following is an attempt at an equal creative partnership, where movement,
light and sound can fluidly work towards an animation of the given space. Our different vantage points, histories and techniques are brought to the space and situation. Shape and erosion of shape seem to take place as a result.
M U E: Macarena Ortuzar (dance), Dariusz Dziala (light), Bruno Guastalla (cello/electronics/bandoneon) with guest Paul Medley (bass clarinet)
