At the edge of the prehistoric boundary called Grim’s ditch, Oxfordshire. There is a tease for me in that the ancient linear boundary (on the right of the image) is echoed by the planear boundary of the land, and how it is played out in our contemporary industrial agriculture setting: the bright green life at the surface is matched by an engineered, insect & weed – free earth just underneath.
