Modern Art Oxford

Marking the 75th year of the University’s acquisition of Wytham Woods, musicians Eric Clarke, Bruno Guastalla, Melissa Holding and Julian Masters spent a weekend in July making music and recording the sounds of the woods.

This special performance of the ‘Wytham Project’ is a sound installation that brings together an eclectic mix of free improvisation, original compositions, location recordings and sonic hybrids, exploring the relationships between sound, place and nature. Details here

Should you visit the  FUTURE KNOWLEDGE exhibition, there is a 50 minute sound installation in the little room next to the middle gallery which Eric Clarke, Dan Hulme and myself concocted from recordings done in the woods in July. It is on until the end of October.
